In Illinois, if you don’t choose an electricity supplier, your utility supplies your electricity at its Price to Compare. It is the supply price a supplier offer has to beat: your utility’s delivery charges stay the same whichever supplier you choose, so only the supply price changes your bill.

- Compare offers per kWh. A fixed-rate offer below this price lowers your supply cost while the price applies; check monthly fees, the contract length and any cancellation fee.
- Utilities change this price periodically, so check the period or date shown before comparing.
- Introductory and variable rates can rise after the first months.
